B296 - The Story:
In 2020, Johannes Breuer met Wolfgang Braun from the HolzArt workshops in Herrenberg for the first time. He had designed a table for a friend that required a high level of precision and was looking for a carpentry shop with particularly high quality standards for the job. The HolzArt Werkstätten quickly proved to be the best partner. The table (now available as coffee table ) was masterfully built and laid the foundation for a fruitful dialogue and good cooperation.
A dialogue began about other furniture and after a while the idea was born to make the high quality craftsmanship of the HolzArt workshops available to a larger audience in the form of a new brand: B296. Other products were developed together and now form the foundation for B296 as a collection .
B296 is the name of the road that connects three points in this region that are important for the brand: Johannes Breuer 's workshop in Kayh, the HolzArt Werkstätten showroom in Herrenberg and their production in Deckenpfronn.
B296 - The Heads:
Wolfgang Braun (right) is responsible for product development and production of B296. He is a master carpenter, co-founder and co-owner of HolzArt Werkstätten in Herrenberg & Deckenpfronn. HolzArt Werkstätten have been known nationwide for over 30 years for the planning and implementation of sophisticated projects in the commercial and private sectors.
Johannes Breuer (left) designs the products of B296. After working in Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Milan, he returned to his home region and has his own Johannes Breuer Design office in Stuttgart. He designs all kinds of things for international partners - both alone and together with Fritz Gräber as Hannes & Fritz

B296 - The claim:
We have high standards - for our design, our craftsmanship and our ecological footprint. B296 furniture is all manufactured with the utmost care in Deckenpfronn. We mainly use local solid wood from the Schönbuch, the southern Black Forest and the regional orchards. This allows for high quality and short distances. In addition, our production halls are heated with our own wood waste.
By the way, all B296 solid wood furniture – unlike in many places – is not made from affordably purchased, industrially manufactured glued wood panels, but our woods are hand-picked and combined individually for each piece of furniture. So that it looks perfect and functions perfectly.
